Jarvi’s work is all about water. This wall-mounted composite was inspired by water in nature. During the artist’s summer 2018 residency at The Hambidge Center, she was surrounded by natural water — whether ponds, waterfalls, rain, etc. These greens immediately began to infiltrate her water work. The artist uses multiple firings, and the kiln heat (and gravity) to move the glass. Fun to note the glass parts for this piece were started during the artist’s 2019 McColl Center residency.
Set: One is 10.5” in diameter x .5” from wall and other is 8” in diameter x 2”. Overall area is 14” x 20”. *Artist uses Hang Your Glass hardware and paper template for easy install.
