Bree Stallings - "The Art Of Noticing"
Bree Stallings - "The Art Of Noticing"
The Art of Noticing was created in response to the trauma of losing a friend to violence, a moment that shattered my sense of safety. In an effort to heal, I began collecting glimpses of joy—small, fleeting moments of light amidst the darkness—over the course of two and a half years. The first was a photo of her dog, still present and full of life despite witnessing the tragedy. Though the piece may appear ominous from afar, it invites viewers to step closer—reminding us that those who pause and notice can still find beauty and peace.

Framing
Please contact us for Charlotte-area frame recommendations and art installers.
Frame Recommendations
- Canvases should be hung without glass.
- Due to changes in temperature and humidity (even in indoor spaces), it’s important that a canvas is stretched upon a supporting frame correctly to avoid altering or damaging the piece (i.e. cracking paint layers).
- Any works on paper should be framed with archival grade UV blocking glass or plexiglass (acrylic) with archival grade acid-free matting and foam board.
Storing Your Artwork
- If your artwork is on paper and unframed, please note these works are extremely fragile and should avoid being handled. If you must handle unframed works on paper, wear clean cotton or fresh disposable gloves and unpack the artwork on a large, clean, dry, dust-free surface. Be very careful when unpacking the work and remove all adhesive tape to avoid it catching and sticking to the work. Store unframed works on paper flat instead of rolled, in a dry, dark environment.
- In the event that your framed artwork is not yet hung, you will want to store your art pieces safely and soundly to avoid any possibilities for damage. When it comes to framed paintings, climate is crucial. You will want to store a painting in a similar type of climate in which it will be hung--otherwise, you run the risk of compromising the artwork due to intense discrepancies between temperature and humidity.
